We are Active Social Club CIC. We aim to combat social isolation and loneliness. We are provide face to face sessions for people to meet in the community. We do different types of activities (mainly led by the clients themselves e.g. a space to swap/exchange/share ideas. Clients/volunteers are teaching each other e.g. we now have a sewing session wreath making (lead by a client), games making (various) horse racing, quizzes etc all these enable clients to come out and meet in this safe and friendly space.
We therefore facilitate friendships and people are regaining lost ambitions and aspirations. Our clients are a combination of those with acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities, mental health and those who are lonely and isolated in society.
We work with partner groups e.g. housing associations, social prescribers, stroke and brain injury groups to bring people together
